Lindsay Kiriakos was born in Montreal, Canada, but by the time he was five, his life had taken him to Los Angeles, California. During his four years at Stanford University, he got not just one but two degrees. He then went to medical school at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, which has been around since 1740.
Kiriakos had wanted to be a psychiatrist since he was a child. Both his father and his older sister, who work in the field, were a big part of why he did this. So, after he graduated, he did his Psychiatry Residency at the equally impressive Semel Neuropsychiatric Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Lindsay Kiriakos went to the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and got his MD there. During the same time, he also won the "Excellence in Psychiatry" graduate award, which was definitely a good sign for what was to come.
Then, at the UCLA Semel Neuropsychiatric Institute, he finished his residency in "Adult Psychiatry." Here, he was in charge of the Interpersonal Psychotherapy Clinic as the Chief Resident. He moved up quickly and made a name for himself. This is a theme that will come up again and again in his story.
